A few random shots I took throughout the year that don’t fit in their own post
Scenic view of the coulee east of Milton, ND. At one time, this coulee would have been a river flowing into Lake Agassiz.
My attempt at a “tiny planet” picture, using a 360 degree panorama in the middle of a wind farm.
This large iron gate is the only indication a cemetery sits on this hill.
A gravel road traverses a coulee near a wind farm near Valley City, ND
A dragonfly prepares to take flight.
A few pictures of random things I’ve taken recently, that don’t really fit in with other groups of pictures.
A local pilot spraying for bugs at dusk.
Long exposure of a bonfire we had going one night.
The shadowed side of my son watching the fire.
Our dog taking a break from his game of fetch.
We sat and watched a storm move in, throwing lightning bolts across the sky.
The end of a game of ladder golf.
I found this happy ceramic bunny in the trees at my parents’ house.
The weather wasn’t very friendly while visiting my home town over Christmas break, so I decided to shoot some indoor pictures.
A single Christmas ornament on the tree.
Clock face showing the original maker of the grandfather clock.
Christmas angel with fiber optic colors.
The chimes in an old grandfather clock.
I’m in a photo group that occasionally does topical challenges. These are a few I’ve taken for those.
Our first challenge, something that represents the holiday season. These Christmas lights were highlighting the garland nicely.
Another for Fall, this was some stalks of grass ready to drop their seeds.
A Water challenge. This a small waterfall at the Seattle Aquarium.
For a Fall challenge – two combines work through the night.
For a snow and ice challenge, this is a macro shot of a window in my house after a strong cold snap caused frost to develop in a very detailed pattern.
Human altered landscape. This pair of parallel electrical lines stretched for miles in both directions.
